The Kubé family is an exercise in design restraint and juxtaposition. In Kubé 1, four flat planes meet in the centre to form a deep, cross-shaped arrangement that provides stability without appearing heavy.

The interplay between the flat, 124-centimetre-by-124-centimetre square table-top and extended leg form creates dramatic shadows that add extra dimension to the strong visual impact of the design.

A canvas or wooden surface nestles inside the top. Its colour combinations emphasise the table’s dimensions: off-white with black edges and an off-white canvas or wooden top, and pure black with a cream canvas or wooden top.
